If you mean the Peter Lorre who was in Casablanca and The Maltese Falcon with Humphrey Bogart then the shortest link is as follows:

There is another Peter Lorre, who has only ever made one film ("Bloody Mary" in 1996) with Marty Ryan, who was in "The Italian Job" (recent crap American remake, not the classic Michael Caine original) with Mos Def, who was in "The Woodsman" with Kevin Bacon
