Just keep buying all those jolly lotto tickets and you and the country will be in a win, win situation (yeah fucking right more like keeping Dale Winton in Rent Boys for a few years, literally) ... personally cannot wait to see the boy diver doing his stuff in this years Olympics (and that aint Mr. Winton!whistle!).

A media hype Crofter. Whilst I think he is very good at such a young age, the Chinese kids are doing what he's doing at 8 years old. I expect them to clean up for years to come.
The expectations on him are huge, hope he can take the pressure

Montreal finished paying for the 1976 games in 2006.........
Sydney is still massively in debt.
As a Northerner I really could not give a toss about these games. By the time they hit London a days admission will be ?100, hotels will be charging ?300 a night for a cupboard and a burger and coke will set you back ?20 at the games sites.
If Beijing is a disaster, which it genuinely could be if the boycotts and protests materialise, we will be left funding a dying duck. ?1500 a year Band A in Walthamstow anybody??

Well what a surprise !
Cost of 2012 Olympic pool triples
Then you read
"Another British firm, Balfour Beatty, will build the aquatic centre at the Olympic park by 2011, two years later than originally planned".
In 2011 !!!!, and that is without the delays that are bound to happen.
Would not surprise me if we go back to the Olympic bosses and ask them to move the 2012 Olympics to 2014 so we can finish building the various arenas.
But if its only londeners paying for it(I like within the london borough of havering) then all you people out side the M25 can sod off!! you havent paid a penny from your taxes !!
Well, doh!
Attracting extra visitors helps repay back what the games are costing Londoners. That's the whole point.

If Wembley Stadium is anything to go by,then they've got no chance getting it ready.
