I agree it would be great to go up in top spot.
If the playoff places remain as they are now Hull would play Palace and you would have to fancy the winner of that to go up.

Any idea if the QPR v Baggies game is on Sky?.Rather watch that than Arsenal v Everton.Last day of the season is always interesting, unless you're fighting relegation, that is !laugh!

I remember 10 years back,Chelsea were playing Bolton at the Bridge on the last day of the season.Vialli made 9 changes, what with the Cup Winners Cup final against Stuttgart in mind.Bolton were fighting relegation along with Everton who were playing Wimbledon.

Us Chelsea fans actually wanted Bolton to beat us,to send Everton down.It could well happen again if Yahnited win the League tomorrow and Fulham or Reading still need points to stay up.

Aren't we a nasty bunch of bar-stewards? !grin!baggieb wrote:

It's Stoke v Leicester and Ipswich v Hull on Sky.
It was an incredible last day when we did the great escape 3 seasons ago, our game had ended and we were waiting for the Charlton - Palace result, and when it came through the Hawrhorns just went mental.

Yes I have to say brilliant to see a "footballing" team actually emerge from the championship - you know one who actually might fancy their chances face to face and head to head against some of the more renowned teams in the premiership. I certainly don't see Tony Mowbray's or West Brom's game ploy changing too much in the premiership next year as it is probably unheard of to play attacking, pass and move football in the Championship and be succesful ... but to compete in the Premiership that is a great thing to have and something that they should stick to.
I REALLY admire Tony Mowbrays philosophy though in this day of overcoached sterile shite that seems to be the norm nowadays he sticks to his guns in the belief it will reap more rewards than failures.

Start your drinking early mate, and well done.I hope to be making an excursion to the Hawthornes next season. If you plan coming to the Bridge, give us a yell and i'll drop you a few decent boozers to go to.

Btw baggieb.Do West Brom play 'Liquidator' as the players go onto the pich before a game.

Obviously Chelsea do,It's just a minor dispute me and a friend had.I'm certain that West Brom also play 'Liquidator'

Well done anyway, and to you to colonel !drink! !drink! drink!

Cheers Mike, looking forward to seeing you and the other Chelsea fans at the Hawthorns next season. !drink!
They used to play the Liquidator before kick off every game but the powers that be stopped it because of the lyrics the Albions fans were singing to it.
Still the fans favourite though.

Really?.Shame that is.Liquidator has been played at The Bridge for donkeys years,a right crowd pleaser and does get the place jumping as one might of noticed on Wednesday night.

See Stoke too are up.They'll become the Derby County of next season.

Play off's will be interesting.I'm going for a Hull v Bristol City final, with Hull emerging as winners. Both games will be tough though.

I'm sure Mowbray will have the resources and the know how to keep Baggies in the Prem. It's all about having a decent start and attacking whichever teams you play.Lessons will/can be learned from Derby.

It's just not good for the Prem to have 'lay down and die' teams in there.

I agree with you about Stoke.

I still fancy Palace for the play off's though, they're the team playing with confidence.
Bristol's win today was their first or second in the last few games, Hull have lost a couple now and Watford couldn't win an arguement at the moment.

As to our chances of staying up, i'll settle for fourth from bottom next season. I think we have a better chance this time than the last twice we have gone up because of the style of football we play, it's going to be difficult but with 3 or 4 quality signings added to what we have in the squad i think we should just about hold our own up there.

Please don't call them Bristol. Bristol City, The Shit or worse is fine. It winds Rovers fans like me up something chronic. Boing bloody boing. No, seriously, well done. You spanked us in the cup and play football as it should be played.

Play off predictions:

Watford 1 Hull 1
Hull 3 Watford 1

Palace 2 BCFC O
BCFC 2 Palace 3

Final: Hull 1 Palace 2
