Troll was a bit strong. I mean, how can anyone know if you post the same stuff over & over for 7 years just to get a reaction? I doubt you've spent this long winding people up, Dibbs....it's just not your style is it? !laugh!

I'm more inclined to agree with Deuce....not so much a troll, but more a 'broken record'. Where's colonel btw? Seems a bit gutless, him making such a thread and then running off like that.

Anyway, lets all bring some happiness back to the forums eh? A great song that just seems apt right now: !wink!

My (belated) apologies, Officer. What I initially characterised as trollish behaviour I later amended to broken record syndrome.

We all have opinions. Things that happen can change them, but for the most part we hold limpet-like to our views of the world. Good rhetoric or a well-argued debate can shift our impressions. Seldom agreed with you, Dibbsy, but you were always one of the better types for putting a reasoned argument. And that was why I was angry at the repetitive anti-NuLab stuff you instigated. We got the point the first time, or certainly the second---by the sixth separate post, it looked like you were seeking adulation from your choir. You're better than that.

For what it's worth I am working class, have never been to university, don't read The Grauniad on a regular basis (possibly four years since I last saw it), have never (to the best of my knowledge) been to Islington or drank Chardonnay, and I don't holiday in Tuscany.

Agree. Just for a laugh I'd love to see one of those studio debates where the participants are expected to yell at each other about immigration policy or similar, but instead finish up all coming to an agreement and leaving at the end of the session the best of friends. The ratings would plummet.

Nicely put Officer, now not being sure as to what exactly a troll is i looked it up in the dictionary and there are a few meanings such as: a supernatural being in Scandinavian mythology, passing the cup around, singing heartily, and fishing by dragging baited hook through water, so take your pick Officer but i guess you will go for the first one !wink!
