Yes,
Doing things i.e. running a government is a tad harder than not doing things as Cameron and his boyos know.
So.... given that it looks very likely he will be Prime Minister in less than a year what exactly will Cameron and the Tories do in terms of cuts given their line earlier in the week was that extensive cuts should have been introduced by the Labour government now in order to cut back the deficit as quickly as possible.
So boys and girls, hard facts please rather than "string up the workshy in the village square etc. etc. " What would they cut now and if and when they get elected within the year?
I await the details of the Tory plans with interest.

Cut government quangos, the bloated public sector and all foreign aid (get your own house in order first, before lining the pocket of Third World despots and helping to finance the nuclear arsenals and space programmes of India and Pakistan).
That would save a good few billion for starters.
If the government didn't WASTE so much money, government debt would be a fraction of what it is now, we wouldn't even be having this discussion, and cutting public services wouldn't be an issue.

Your point about the Labour party laying out the cuts that they propose after the election may well be true, but, first of all, that was not my question and secondly, it is the Conservatives who are stating that they would have starting cutting now at the depth of the recession, something which differs from the Labour approach.
The Conservative approach could be described as kicking the patient when he is very poorly.
I repeat the question - what has Cameron and his Cabinet said that they would cut now given that they are demanding it happens now.

First of all, the Institute of Fiscal Studies, an independent organisation that delves into the detail, has said that it has made a positive difference and one of the Tories' own Cabinet ministers, namely Ken Clarke, the SHADOW BUSINESS MINISTER was quoted
"FORMER chancellor Ken Clarke has said the Government should slash VAT to help people pay their bills.
The Notts MP suggested a temporary cut in the tax, meaning the Government might lose some revenue for a short period, would be an effective way to help the man on the street.
"It would have to be temporary because public finances could only take a short-term hit," said the Rushcliffe MP.
"There is going to be a big drop in consumer spending"
There you go, Be-Seen-Here, the measure has the support of the Tories own Business Minister.

Ken Clarke said he was in favour of the VAT cut in November 08. Brown cut the VAT rate in November 08. Clarke is the Tory Shadow Business Minister. You say it shows how crap Labour are. If so, logically it shows how crap the Tory Shadow Business Minister is. Bit disorganised the Tory party don't you think?
