i think from the BNP's point of view this could turn out to work in their favour.if they are forced to allow non whites to join people could no longer accuse them of being racist.all they would have to do would be to change their rules whereby a new member is not allowed voting rights until they have 5 years unbroken membership.that way anyone wanting to join just to cause trouble from within would have to give the party money for five years and i cant see that happening can you?or make it compulsory to be an activist for 2 years before you are allowed to vote.how many trouble makers are going to go out every week delivering BNP leaflets for 2 years?in a straight legal fight the BNP will never beat the government because they simply have not got the financial clout so they have to be pragmatic about it.any way the government are never going to stop them as they are going from strength to strength and more and more people are joining them all the time.they got over a million votes last time and can easily expect that and more in the general election .If the government had nothing to fear from them they wouldnt be trying to crush them like they are now

I agree allowing non whites to join the BNP will go in their favour and will give them a degree of respectability that will gain them more support at the next election, and with more voters moving away from the main parties the BNP must be laughing all the way to the ballot box.

Perhaps you would find it useful to check the facts max, rather than assuming that if you are told something by the BNP it must be correct.

The facts are, as told by one of its members on the Jeremy Vine Show a few months ago, is that a white officer may join the BPOA only as an associate member, who do not have equal membership or voting rights to 'blacks'.

Therefore a white member can never be equal to a black member. They're an organisation that treats people differently based purely on their skin colour. Hardly the blueprint for 'equality'.

I'd wager if the BNP offered the BPOA system as a solution to its whites-only policy, it wouldn't be seen acceptable then.

An organisation which has a whites only membership policy, run by a bunch of people like Griffin who referred to the Holocaust as the Holohoax. I thought this country had laws on racial discrimination and incitement on the grounds of race! Guys like him need to be left with a bunch of Holocaust survivors and their families for a day.

Griffin may well be an ignorant, little scumbag supported by a bunch of deluded voters fed up with their lot and the obvious failings of the mainstream political parties, but his party is still worth taking seriously. Hitler was regarded as a joke by many Germans in the late twenties/early 30's.

Ban the bastards as far as I am concerned. All this crap about letting people vote for whatever party they want to. There are some in this country that would vote for a party promising to castrate homosexuals, particularly if they are West Ham supporters. If it is an offence, which it is, to incite hatred based on race, then it should be illegal to have a political party based on these insults and vilification.

Lots of interesting comments there. People should bare in mind that the crux of this thread is me pointing out that the BNP is now on its way out. The Govt, well the Labour Party basically, is taking them to Court and the BNP can either challenge what's being done to them and be more or less bankrupted whilst doing it, certainly have no money for fighting any future elections, or they can accept it - which means that, as I said at the top, ethnic minority pressure groups intend to join the organisation in vast numbers and bring it down from within. You will have situations where many of those people will be applying for promotions within the BNP, not get them, then sue the BNP for racism, which will get lots of coverage in the media, and they will probably win. Each time this happens the BNP will lose even more money, the people who were on the receiving end of this 'racism' will be given enourmous platforms on the TV media to slate the party and then their standing, and their financial position, will worsen even more. So it looks like this will be the end for them. The fuse has been lit.

Porn historian, read what I've said. A party can have vast numbers of voters but if they are virtually bankrupt then what can they do? If this present tactic doesnt work, which it is very likely to, then the Labour Party will just keep changing the law so that whatever the BNP do they will be prosecuted.
