As a parent I think you are wrong.
For the record gay couples should NOT be allowed to adopt or foster children, it's not fair on the child.
What do you mean 'not fair on the child'? In that the kid might be embarrassed, or picked on because of his/her gay parents?

You have a point, if that's what you mean, but it's only because gay parents are very rare. A white kid adopted by black parents is rare too, and a kid could be picked on for that but denying a black couple the chance of adopting a white child based on their race is discriminatory and rightly so, and so we should adopt the same policy when it comes to sexuality. Their must be a few kids who discover one natural parent or the other is actually gay and they deal with it like every other event/problem in life so I don't see your point (if indeed the embarrassment/bullying worry was your point).

And all this bollocks about 'having your cake and eating it' is the biggest load of bigoted tripe I've heard on here for a good....ooooh.....24 hours on here! It's almost as if you resent the fact gays can run around being gay while having the audacity to become parents. One or t'other, is that it? Numpty! Do you think you're suddenly going to get lots of 5-11yo lads going to school dressed like Danny La Rue? Double numpty!

Your argument for denying gay couples the right to adopt is purely based on it not being natural. Yes? My retort is that black couples don't have white children, naturally, and vice versa, yet it's not against the law for black couples to adopt white children, and again, vice versa.

Given your stance about going against nature then I must presume you're also against couples adopting children of a differing race, or your stance on the two similar issues differ because of something else you've not mentioned. Which is it?

If bringing colour into my analogy upsets you (God knows why) then I'll give you another one: Two straight parents who are infertile cannot have children naturally, just like a gay couple. Should we deny the infertile from adopting?
