Nothing wrong with escapism if you enjoy it. It takes your mind off life for a while which we all need (you more than most by the sounds of it). Take a good old British tradition of pidgin fancying; what's mature and sensible about spending 20 years of your retirement breeding and racing pidgins? You don't get eggs or much meat from them, and they're hardly educating so it's pretty pointless. I do, however, see that some get enjoyment from such a hobby.

I could go on and talk about playing pool, or darts, or watching movies and listening to music; betting all your money away on horses with midgets riding them....pointless. You get the idea now?

Anyway, I spent the weekend playing Assassin's Creed, watching football and reading David Copperfield. All great fun.

Reginald, you actually have to uise your brains playing alot of games as well as have fast reaction times so not sure what you are talking about.

Perhaps you are also misinformed that games have come along way since the days of Pac Man and Space Invaders and even they needed some kind of intelligence to play.

And yes adults need their escapism. What is alcohol , drugs, sex, porn, tv, the x facor and more for if it isnt about escapism?
