Two tossers?
I would say two victims.
The young black man is a victim of 300 plus years of slavery, 400 years of racial segregation, a disproportionate prison population and the need to conform to the "gangsta" stereotype promoted by the white owned movie studios, clothing labels and record companies.
The old white man is a victim of alienation and reintegration problems when returning from the Vietnam war that left him with emotional numbing and intrusive recollections of jungle warfare.
Fortunately the old white man was institutionalised following his arrest. Perhaps now he can be given the cognitive behavioral therapy that he should of received 40 years ago.
Unfortunately the young black man still has to exist in a society that offers him no opportunity.
