Silly? Silly? Duels have been fought for less, Sir Maximilian.

I was merely making the point, that I don't see us "bending over backwards" to different faiths.

And given we in the UK do not change our fundamental laws for people who come to live here to fit in with their own countries' laws, I see little reason why other countries should do differently.

Always a good idea to check on customs and behaviours before going overseas to that country, I find.

If you don't see us "bending over backwards" to different faiths maybe it's time you took off your blinkers.
I have to agree about checking the customs of other countries before travelling though. I got a severe rebuke recently for showing the sole of one foot to two old ladies while I was travelling on the metro in Russia ------ something I knew could cause mild offence but I simply forgot that by crossing my legs my sole would be visible. A lapse on my part but no offence was meant.
