I like German cars, that doesn't suddenly make me less patriotic.
I liked Germany when I was stationed there, I didn't have a problem. It was the Germans who were the problem.
The British auto industry was fucked by that bastard Red Robbo and his communist ilk years ago. Fuckall decent has been produced by British designers and manufacturers for 40 years or more. Any twatt who buys a so called British car because of patriotism is fucking stupid. I want my cars to transport me in comfort and not break down, and have a good amount of toys. When sitting inside a car I suppose it could be argued that it doesn't matter what it looks like, but, hey, a nice looking car feels nice as well. Remember the Ford Scorpio Ultima? What a pile of ugly shyte that was.

Indeed it was, RoddersD... and assembled in Cologne, which is in Germany, last time I looked! As for you saying all Jags are Scorpios with a shinny badge... just goes to prove it's not your mouth you talk out of!

Yeh, you're right, the thing was assembled in der Vaterland, but all the large Fords were, and they were, and still are, shyte. As for Jags, it's my opinion wether you like it or not and Fords influence has done them no favours at all. The day of a quality Jag is gone. Get used to it.

Your opinion is based on factual inaccuracies, so therefore counts for nothing. You claim "Jags are just fucking Ford Scorpios with a Jag badge nailed on the front and back"

The Ford Scorpio used a stretched version of the Sierra floorplan and ceased production a few months before Ford bought Jaguar and Land Rover. The first new Jaguar produced under Ford ownership (the S Type) used the same floorplan as the Lincoln LS and the Mustang, whilst the X-Type used the same platform as the Mondeo, a car many motoring journalists praised for its ride and handling.

XJs (both the X308 and X350 versions) didn't share their platforms with any other cars in the Ford stable. So no Jag has ever been a "Scorpio with a Jag badge" nailed on to it.
