"who is simply trying to enjoy the Royal Wedding without being savaged by the rabid, attack dogs of New Labour!"
Not me, pal. I'm going to be in the front row of the Abbey on Friday. I knew his mum.
I met Princess Di when she was up in Blackpool one weekend. I bumped into her when she was in my local pub by herself having a ?6.99 all you can eat carvery and drinking a pint of mild. Over the pork crackling, we got chatting and she popped back to mine to pour her heart out. She was quite troubled and I am, as you know Jimbo, a very caring, listening sort of chap.
Wills looks the spitting image of a younger me.
Funny that!
I'm really looking forward to the whole event. I like a bit of ceremony and a good singalong.
If I pick up a doggie bag, I'll send it on. It will probably be the first square meal you've had since 1997. Won't it?
!wink!
Cheers
D

Well, David, in the light of your conciliatory post, I propose an Easter/ Royal Wedding truce starting from now and through to:
00:00 hrs 30/04/2011
This allows an extra day for festivities to be enjoyed and hangovers dealt with, until the resumption of hostilities at the agreed hour!!grin!

I would welcome a game of keepy up footie in between the trenches to cement this entente cordiale.
The sheer wastage of keyboard activity that has taken place on the BGAFD front has caused me some heart-searching. I have suffered from flashbacks to certain maraudering skirmishes
And indeed, on the happy day of the 29th of April when these two charming young people begin their married life together, I can think of nothing better than to meditate on the finer, more noble activities in life rather than the gutter debate that so often passes for political comment on this wonderful forum.
Kindest Regards
David
(I'm 7th from the aisle in the front row on Will's side by the way. I have asked Huw what's is name to pick me out big styley on the camera. In case you're interested in fashion, I will be wearing a Vivian Westwood designed morning suit in sepia)
