The 'Promotions' forum is for the posting of promotional material relating to the British adult entertainment industry, as well as the seeking and commissioning of work by models and producers working in the British adult entertainment industry.
If a US based webmaster even has banners with 3 or 4 models on, then he now needs the full details of all those models... This includes affiliates.. DUH
Webmasters etc. in the States can buy in content from outside the States but now it must have the models details supplied and available for publishing.

You and other UK producers will have a problem. You may have supplied the model release etc. to your guys over the pond, but neither you nor they have any of the models written consent to have their details published at the moment.. Now that is a major problem based on our UK data protection laws
What this stupid change to the 2257 means is that every surfer around the world and every person who goes in to buy an adult film in the States will be able to see a models private details...
your alright mate, you can sell it any where but the US might become a bit of a challenge. Time will tell. The law is there to protect minors, so maybe the way to get round this will be to shoot just mature content cos if you only have older women they are going to know they are not under 18 and so should not require the proof of age documents. (In theory anyway)
Its the DPA we in the UK should worry about more than anything else.
Even if the model agrees to his/her details being shared with the webmaster. That webmaster has to then guarantee that only he/she (and the official authorities) will be able to access them.
Say I was an employee of a webmaster and I wandered into their office and got the contact details of one of the models. My employer would be in breach of the DPA whether they had the permission to have those details or not.
Mind you the DPA only applies to the UK so the US webmaster wouldn't have a problem with it.
The words rock and hard place do really spring to mind on this one.
If you think about the potential stalkers who frequent this board, let alone everywhere else, I can't see any model in her right mind agreeing to the open publication of personal details.
I do have one idea that I'm 99% sure will get around all the problems and provide an ongoing workable solution, but as it's of potential commercial value I can't discuss it in open forum. If any recognised industry people want to hear more, please drop me a line, particularly those may consider taking things further
