Having only started working with models since November, the few that I have booked have all been prompt, excellent models who I would book again in a second. I guess as I book more models, I might get the odd one that doesn't turn up/cancels, but I am taking it one model at a time. Of course, if one did cancel etc, it would stick in my mind, but I think everyone at least gets a second chance (there might have been unforseen problems etc), but if they continue to not turn up/cancel then you just move onto another model willing to complete the job. Like it has been said before, it will get around the industry if a model continues to not show for shoots and work will dry up and the only person to blame would be the model.

Like Joe A says hopefull 2006 will be the year of great things for the industry in the UK. We have the talent out there to make UK porn the best there is (both models and producers).

As an amateur photographer I can only afford a couple of shoots a year.

More than once has a shoot date & fee been agreed, checked a few days before then a holiday day been booked at work.
Then only after a chasing phonecall because the model failing to phone to confirm details as she promised does she text (rather than phone) late the evening day before or early on the shoot day with some reason or other that may or may not be genuine why they can't make the shoot. Hence no shoot and a day's pay lost too for no benefit.

Should I be treated any differently than a top professional photographer/producer? I think not.
Surely an agreed booking is just that - if a more lucrative last minute offer come up tough.
What do other forum members think?

As I don't get to find who is reliable or not by the grapevine somewhere I could look at with others experiences of both the models reliability to turn up and to do whatever was agreed would be really useful.

I think you're right - a deal is a deal, period. Breaking one's word is the preserve of stupid scummy lowlifes, sleaze balls, the feebleminded, and general idiots. What?s happened to honour, integrity, and principle? Shouldn't we be blackballing, cold shouldering, and denouncing the flaky sleazy fuckers who think there's nothing wrong with breaking a contract (verbal or otherwise)? If we let it go are we complicit, are we just as bad as they, are we making the situation worse? If we let it go would we be as divi as the myopic, simpering, silly twats of this parish who daily prostate themselves before false goddesses?

Again, if the money isn't enough, they wouldn't take the job in the first place! At the end of the day these girls are just unreliable. The one who didn't show the other day was being paid ?450 in cash!
