"Massive interest in internet porn?" I don't know, Private posted a loss earlier in the first quarter of the year and have mysteriously stopped sending me financial updates since then, though they do keep sending me "Special Summer Offers On Job Lots Of DVD's!" I personally don't know of anyone who's 'doing a bomb' on the Internet at the moment.
I agree that societal perceptions of male and female beauty do change over time, as fads and fashions do. However, I firmly believe that our underlying sexual instincts do not, except maybe on a geological timescale.
I never ever fancied shagging that Twiggy sort even though popular culture was screaming out hat she was super cool, super fashionable and was 'it' at that particular moment in time. However, the more Rubenesque Elizabeth Taylor, Sophia Loren and Rachel Welsh who were also on our TV screens at the time always made my youthful cock fair throb with delight.

Well before, jumping to such a firm conclusion maybe you should read the actual report in the British Medical Journal. As is the nature of medical journals I would imagine all the minutiae of how the researchers arrived at their conclusions will be published there. It apears to be a serious article and a serious study.
Anyhow, I as I originally stated. I didn?t need a report to see what was happening, it was always perfectly clear to my professional eye. If just confirmed that my fears were well founded.

I, for one, hope that some forumite will be able to give us the minutiae of the research methods.
But I can't see how they could have any other info. on vital stats apart from Playboy records - however accurate/reliable they are.
Unless, of course, armed with a tape measure, they boarded a Time Machine.

I always thought only 'old farts', who are 'waiting for god' lived in the past, but it seems poor Dibble is about to join the ranks of the drool brigade.
If you are getting to the stage where you can't tell the difference between men & women then I suggest you have lost the plot.
Magazine sales are down because of the internet. Video sales are down due to over saturation. Sat TV is soft crap and nobody would watch it if they could get hard Sat TV in this country on subscription. Playboy magazine was big in the 70's & 80's but failed to adapt to change, that's why nobody buys it anymore.
Get with the programme Dibble or go the way of the Dinosaurs! It's really as simple as that!

In general the BMJ is a highly respected journal - but its "Xmas special" edition is generally done in a fairly tongue-in-cheek manner to gain publicity. Other "exclusives" this year include a study on the increases of strokes and heart attacks following World Cup penalty shoot-outs.
Not that this distracts from the argument about current vs past porn - but BMJ Xmas stories do need to be taken with a pinch of salt.

As I've said before "the trouble with nostalgia,it's a thing of the past" we all have our likes and dislikes we would'nt be human, would we!
But,I think John Mason made an excellent comment,re magazine sales etc, never a truer word spoken, well said,Sir!.

Well I must say I love the 80's girls but that's probably due to the fact that they were my intoductory years to the joys of porn and I still hanker for the Traci Lords,Ginger/Amber Lynn/Crystal Breeze/Candy Evans etc days still returning at regular intervals to get my blood flowing. But those wonderful girls weren't just horny as hell, they had the one thing that I believe seperates the girls from the women..and that's attitude. So mush porn I see now is sadly about as erotic as BR sandwich.Thank heaven I still have my old films even though I know every scene suck for suck!!

But I am with the program John, unlike some of our colleagues I continue to at least 'do alright' which I can only put down to my celebrated porno savvy - yes, course I would say that wouldn?t I?
Anyhow, you may be intrigued to hear that my efforts over the past week or three have earned you a few quid - which I'm led to believe will be passed your way via a mutual associate once we get the festivities out of the way.
Merry Crimbo,
