We used to be one of them people selling our tapes for ?25 & life was sweet...then it went legal, gone was the days of selling your bits on Loot from various accommodation addresses.
With the birth of the internet things started to get even harder for producers because normal people could buy cheap camera's copy film styles & make there own forcing fashions to change every couple of years, porn got more & more extreme as producers battled for pole position.

What we say to any producer finding it hard at the moment is go back to your roots..if you had a product that once sold then it could be that you have evolved to your present status & produce something totally different to when you started, if it worked then it would work again.

People tell us about the expensive camera's & equipment they have bought to copy everyone else in producing HD style movies & we think if we done that it would change our style & put us of business within a year..so think before changing your style as it don't always mean higher quality is better as its content thats the biggest seller.
We still use our little sony DV camera & a old video light that John bought for ?7 at a boot sale & it works..if we changed this people would notice, when John shoots weddings he uses an expensive 3CCD chip video camera (soon to be HD) with steadcam & a ?1000 digital camera because we go for highest quality unlike the amateur porn our fans want & expect from us.
As the years have gone on its getting harder to make our films look as amateur as when we started..bit like trying to draw a childrens drawing to look like a childrens drawing.

We go to lots of swingers clubs/parties etc & ask people what they like & its always the same..Ben Dover, Electric blue, Colour Climax ect. All are old films except Ben's & why do they remember this? because the average age of porn viewers is 40+ & they are the only ones with any money in todays climate.
Most porn today is forgetable & if you ask someone a film they remember they will say one from the 80's or 90's so again this is an indication of their age & how good they think the present market is, yes things are tough now with so much media coverage but if you once had & have lost it then its something you are getting wrong.

Since we legalised it in August 2000 the demise of it is nothing short of remarkable.
The blame is squarely placed on the tinterweb in my book. It has almost wiped out magazines, videos and dvd's. The amount of free stuff on the web is frightening. How can it be free ? Brazzers even have a site where they give their own product to you free - how can this work for them financially ?
15 years ago I kinda jokingly predicted to someone well known in the biz that in 20 years time everyone will be doing their own porn, meaning they would put on their cyber suit or helmet, take their trippy pill or viagra if needed and literally jump into their own computer and be in their own porn movie where they are the star and fuck whoever they like.
Those times are close because everything needed is just about available now.
So people like me will become useless !
