This is the thing I hate hearing about from outsiders of the industry. I've had a guy say to me:

I am shooting a video next year as soon as the weather is warmer
(dicks shrink in the cold in case you have'nt noticed)
I can get get female models for ?250 (at B/G no anal) for half a day in London plus off peak travel.
I think this is resonable but some may deserve more if exceptional.
Models should not just take any junk offers that come their way out of desperation but I have seen a number of posts on this site where they are in financial problems are a going cut price that week. Most are only up to G/G so outside these offers.

My studio site www.rplstudios.com is worth checking out if you need a large West London Studio with lighting rig and TV facilities.

IMO there is nothing wrong with these types of emails as long as they are polite and friendly, what is your issue?

Some models will work for these figures, some won't.
