I deleted my GF account the day i found out that they read your messages. They even have something on their site about what you can and cannot put in your message, so they don't hide the fact they read EVERYONES messages. I just find this totally wrong and even somewhat voyouristic them knowing what everyone is doing. I told them this when explaining to why i was cancelling my account.

The guy running Glamourfinder is doing the industry no favours.

Any new model who goes onto that site and no other, (it could happen), will think that there is no work out there as no professional producer will be able to contact them.

Very true as there are lots of models who I have not found profiles for on any other site. Even if they have found out about they may well assume it is for professionals only while if they do manage to keep carefully worded profiles on Purestorm or Net-model they are likely to inundated with messages from timewasters.


But, at the end of the day, the guy that owns the site can do with it as he wants.

Indeed that is why an alternative based on G/F as it was until recently is needed.

Apologies for this being off topic, but Toybox, i am actually shooting my first custom vid on Thursday, and I was wondering how you choose girls to be on your site and wether you would promote me on your site ??

I have no idea of the time and cost involved so how much income you would need to make it worthwhile?
A thought would be basic membership free for models and a low cost annual fee for photographers both allowing a limited number of messages to be sent. Packages of further messages could be bought plus the option of two higher levels of membership one allowing more messages and the other for full time unlimited professionals allowing unlimited messages.

To me the most significant omission of GF is the ability to search by area.

The key to success would be making all those on GF aware a new alternative site existed open to bout amateurs and professionals. The only restriction would be a minimum work level for models of solo open leg.

Ok so it may look like some of us keep updating our profile's with no actual change -
that is because we are not updated our profile just removing links of people that have left the site or been suspended......
as it says something along the lines of (this member is not found please remove the link)
this is prob all the model your talking about is doing and she has to do that if she wants to keep her profile.

No, she makes minuscule indetectable changes just to keep herself top of the Recently Updated list almost every day.

Charging a basic fee would weed out the time wasters but it would have to be the other way around by asking models to pay for a membership.
If you charge producers & togs they would not bother to use the site as there are plenty of free sites like AW, a good model site featuring the Pro/Am stars with a forum is needed so the models can chat to each other without others seeing...this would create a greater unity amongst the models.

Models won't pay, mainly because new girls don't understand the biz, and the experienced girls have the contacts.

Photographers won't pay. If they did, there would be more agencies able to make a living.

Anyone builds a pay based site, they have to compete against free.

I have a business case for AIR, but if I needed the site itself to be commercial, I'd have closed it after a few months.
