Hi Carmel,

I signed up with jasminlive cam site but decided not to cam for them when I found out that I wouldn't be able to block anyone in my free chat room - I'd have to go via jasmin's customer service peeps to block. When I'm camming and especially for nothing in free chat, I feel it's the cammers right to block whoever especially if it's an offensive punter/free loader etc.

Interesting thread, to my mind there are two main criteria for judging the success or potential success of a webcam site. Firstly, the volume of traffic and members that the site has, secondly, the number of branded sites that the broadcasters are working through.

Take Internetmodelling as an example, for which I have been working a while, http://www.internetmodeling.com/5324/application.htm

The site has c. 5 million hits a day, through many many branded sites which broadcasters all appear on at the same time, these include, include LiveCam.com, YouPorn, PornHub, XNXX, RedTube, Cam4, HotCams, CamHub, Cam Models, Sexy Cams, CamCrush, CamLive, SexTube, Naughty Webcams, Spankwire, Tube8, XVideos, Keez Movies, SexBot, WantLive, Fling.com, EpicCams, Yobt, Brazzers, Camgirls, ItsLive, SexCam.com, XHamster, Luxury Girls, GayTube, Webcam Guys, Dudes.com, Streamen, Tsmate, Shemale Cams, and many more.

The combination of sites, and volume of traffic, can generate significant earnings for models/performers, even if the individual pay per minute rate is slightly lower then some other "specialist" sites, the fact of having 5x, 10x, etc etc viewers at one time makes up for it and ensures that unproductive free chat time is kept to a minimum!

Sadly Rick I have to completely disagree because having multiple viewers at any one time is one of the worse things than can happen to a webcam model.

There is absolutely nothing worse when your trying to interact with a model - which is what webcam is all about and for them to be either doing their own thing or for them to be working to another site and not focused on the site the viewer is paying on.

The only time its even close to being acceptable, in terms of stopping free chat, is in things like group shows which pay far lower for a reason and for multiple cams to be successful for that requires the model to be constantly performing.

Hi Peeps,

Thanks for your replies/comments but would especially like to know if anyone here actually cams for Streamate or has in the past, as would love to hear of your experiences.
I still haven't yet cammed on the site although my application was accepted weeks ago. I find the tech issues re the site's encoder which has to be configured to cam and then the cutting and pasting etc incredibly tiresome and confusing. Streamate's online and email only customer service/help desk leaves a lot to be desired, in my opinion.
Thanks in advance.
