I still think Telly Savalas was better in the his movies like The Dirty Dozen, Kelly's Heroes,Escape To Athena & Battle of the Bulge

Maybe I'm just a war junky...seen one detective series you've seen them all

As for Peter Falk...what a shocker...I've seen park bench drunks with more acting ability

cheers

I think the earlier Columbo's were pretty good, but the later ones made in the late 80's and early 90's weren't so good.

It's like any American series they make years after it was originally on, never nearly as good, everything looks too 'clean' if you know what I mean? Slightly soft focus lenses used, hair so perfect etc, just doesn't look real.

What about our very own Professionals? Now that was class (at the time) especially the silver Capri.

NO!!!!!!!!!! Professionals was utter shite, the ONLY person who could act was Dear old Gordon Jackson as Cowley. We did a thread on this before my deployment, and most agreed that Bodie and Doyle were slags who thought they REALLY were macho. Twats!. The Sweeney, now THERES a TV show you would stay in for!!

Each too there own Cheeky, its when the re-runs are shown with Martin Lewis's silly perm makes it more laughable.

Buttsie, you will find it was Martin Shaw who played Doyle the one who had the perm. Lewis Collins who played Bodie had the short dark hair
