Ali G?

Ali G wasn't really very funny to begin with, good on the 11 O'Clock show but that's it. The anchorman with the big ears was much funnier, but he wasn't Oxbridge like Sacha Baron Cohen is, so no big break for him; he was a bit like the cheeky kid in the school playground who would turn anything into a double entendre. The strange thing about Ali G. is that he was popular with the Asian community actually (and it really is true) a way of laughing at Black culture in the UK. Ali G. isn't racist as such but the laughter I heard from Asians was the sort you hear when something you (they) dislike is being well and truly sent up.

I thought Daisy Donovan wasn't funny ever and possibly high on drugs when they taped?

Adrian Mole

No, no, no.
Now I too want to do an S56.
Steve Mackintosh. He was in the very first bit of work I did a few years ago.
Very small man that needed a slap.
I said a bit too loudly, "Look it's Nigel from Adrian Mole!" To which one of the crew said "SShh I don't think he likes to be reminded."
I met Stephen Moore in a casting session once & I really wanted to say "Look it's Adrians dad! but thought better of it.
As for Adrian himsel, Giancarlo Sammarco, he now works as a psychiactric nurse in Northampton, and he seriously does look like our version of American Psycho. A serial killer in the making.

The books started of fuckinging brilliantly but then went to fuckeries somewhere in the middle.
The last series with Stephen Mangam wasn't too bad considering.

OK, with my credibility in tatters, I will now hang my head in shame and never come back.....just my luck!

Talking of GBH wasn't Robert Lyndsay part a bit like Derek Hatton the union leader of Liverpool in the 80's?
