Think hes on Uranus Wink Winks(where Liberace brother George is No Doubt) but thats not important right now

Why did Paul Young Steve56stand out...he had a different sound and a lot of publicity...overhyped no doubt but talented all the same

As for original...who is thesedays or has ever been?

Most artists are inspired by somebody before them

Why does Robbie Williams stand out.....he seems to be changing his style every record(so I've been told). Not to mention he's brave enough to forgo the security blanket of in a 'boy band'

Possibly mimicking other popular lasting artists like Madonna, kylie,INXS & RUSH who continually changed their music or image every album to gain new fans as well as to stimulate the old

I say good luck to him....arrogant behaviour breeds interest IMO

Dunno about INXS changing image.
I've been a fan since the early 80's when an Aunt from Oz brought over some bootleg tapes for me.

Progressive rock I'd have thought. The image just went with the times and not an exagerated change.

Best album without a shadow of a doubt, "Welcome to wherever you are". Every track on that album is pure class.

Anyway, Robbie is a slag and I hope he loses his so called fight with booze and drugs.

I agree INXS never changed their image

In their case I was referring to their music

Your probably right to call is progressive but even if its in the same genre it still feels different when listened to

Comparing Shabooh Shoobah to Listen Like Thieves or The Swing is like comparing French Toast to an English Muffin

Every Album had a different feel to it which makes it nigh on impossible for me to say which i liked the best which is why I only have their greatist hits & greatist hits live on CD

I think this was the reason they were widely successful in the States
where another Aussie icon Cold Chisel flopped badly

INXS remind me of The Cars always experimenting for that new sound

I'm not doubting that he can entertain people......just stating he has no talent.
