This was the first special. It featured Arfur and Terry and as I remember, trying to decipher a code consisting of Arsenal players squad numbers, but the series had gone downhill by then. Watch any of the episodes from 1979-1982 series, and THAT was what Minder was all about before turning into 'The Arfur Daley Hour'
Steve, you REALLY must see these early episodes, I guarantee you that they piss on avengers and department S etc

I have em on DVD Steve will send em to you with your next lotta tapes, your right Ace, the early ones are great all the usual suspects pop up in em eh? guys you've seen a hundred times, but din't know the names of!

yes ace,the guy in the avengers was pushing 50 then he had a stand in all the time,but dennis did hes own stunts i think and he had a different bird evrey week lucky s###

Anthony Valentine episode is where Terry had to 'mind' a group of roulette players who had 'cracked' a way of fleecing a casino. Valentine was the 'brains' and it was all legitimate, except Casinos HATE losing money. Best scene is where they all had to doss in Terrys flat in Fulham.
UK Gold/Granada + DO show them, but as Magoo points out, edited for 'political correctness' etc.
Arnold, are the DVD's 'edited' or 'censored' from the original episodes? I'd like to see any 'lost' footage or extra's, but as with most TV shows, they were usually destroyed before transmission.

No extras on the DVD's apart from trailers for the next volumes, if you know of any edits let me know mate and Ill have a butchers, now to write another letter to channel 4 for a dvd release of PROSPECTS!

While your at it Arnie, ask for a release date to an excellent series from 1981 called 'Going Out'
