It might be news to you but last year on average the small to medium sized farmer made ?2,000 to feed & cloth his family for a year. Yes I agree, they are over paid.

Farmers may well earn not very much but that doesnt make them poor. Land at 3k per acre, farmhouses, barns etc are worth bundles and anything passed down the family is free of inheritance tax - the biggest subsidy ever.

This is all a bit different from living on benefits in the inner city where there is real poverty.

You want everyone to leave you alone? Stop taking the subsidies, stop polluting the rivers and stop tearing animals apart and you might have a point
