at the Larry Olivier theatre awards for 2002 ( ithink) the chirpy cockney sparrow won best actress in a musical award and when she went up to collect her gong some wag shouted out, 'Why didn't you send an understudy?' to much hilarity from the gathered thesps and her embarrasment as her under study had performed the part more than she had owing to her alleged illness at the time which was only curable by frequenting showbiz parties and premieres each night.
