So here's one.
It's for charridy mate. Start up a pornomeisters football league.
A special 11 made up of mullets, bent peckers, muscles & cheesy grins.
Get your own stadium, say Wanklestadt and then play against Dagenham & Redbridge Rovers.
Again, I'll be your stunt double...after all, as you said 40!

I would disagree with some of that, it's the mark of a good team that even when not playing to their full potential , they still win , and England Won that game .

The Portuguese have not been impressive, with that great steaming ponce Figo underachieving again, and a good number of them past their best---though Rui Costa scored a peach of a goal. But the English superstars were notable by their absence during the tournament, and it was left to their lesser lights (if you can call Rooney, Lampard, Campbell and Cole lesser) to do the business and get them to the quarter-finals.
I watched the game again in the wee small hours, and still think that Terry was in the wrong at the "goal," but as Woody says that it my opinion to which I'm entitled. What isn't in doubt is that Beckham, the inspirational captain and dead ball specialist, was never at the tournament.
A number of management decisions have turned games in the tournament. Taking off Rooney in the match against France possibly cost England the game; Napoleon lookalike Advocaat almost scuppered things for the Dutch by taking off Robben and letting the Czechs back into their match (the best one played up till now, even including last night's spectacle). The Portuguese boss had the guts to take off a prima donna (who showed how much his country meant for him by taking forever to leave the page at a late stage of the game when they were a goal behind, then heading straight to the dressing room) and go for it. Perhaps Sven should have seen that DB was not doing the business and brought on someone interested in playing.
Before anyone asks where Scotland were and how they did, we didn't qualify and would have been comprehensively beaten by even the weakest team at the tournament if we had, and we'd probably have fumed about the disallowed goal if it had happened to us. But we wouldn't have suspected a global conspiracy or accused the referee (a fussy drama queen, certainly, but just as bad as the other refs involved---even Collina hasn't had a good tournament) of cheating.
