Ok but before we do I had a trawl through my Floyd boots and I do have the Ivor Wynne show and the '84 "Pros and Cons..." show that you mentioned. I was wrong about the best bootleg of them all in my opinion as it's NOT the Anaheim Stadium show from '77 but one of the Madison Square Garden shows from this tour that is beyond belief although the Anaheim show is top too.
Yes Claire Torry was at the Knebworth gig and she also came on as a guest when I saw Rog' on the "Radio Kaos" tour.
The Led' Zep' boot discussion will be very one-sided I'm afraid as I only possess the one, "Spitfire" from the last tour!

Madison sq gardens? a soundboard I think? that's where the "welcome to the machine" boot is from? during the opening bars of shine on you hear kind of shutters opening? to the "Wooooooooohhhhssss" from the crowd? always wondered what that was, there is some super 8 footage from 75 & 77 doing the rounds with dubbed over sound but terrible quality, although you can see the mirrorball during Shine on, always puzzled me why they used the mirrorball during Comfortably numb, and the pig from animals during one of these days on 87 onwards tours?

Yes I know the sounds you mean, I always thought they were fireworks or explosives on stage, strangely I always thought they added to the vibe...man. However having read up in "In The Flesh - The Performance History" it would seem that American audiences around this time were into firecrackers in a big way so it could be some gig-goer's home made effects we are hearing?
I've no idea why they swopped around the effects in later years. My guess is that the pig was just so cool they kept it on (Remember that it also showed up at The Wall shows in a right wing form!) and it worked a treat appearing during the chaos that is "One Of These Days" didn't it?
Getting back to Natasha Bedingfield, there is a small article on her in "Q" magazine this month, her debut album is released soon.
Feel free to e-mail me directly via
rudeboyemail@aol.com as it's always good to talk Floyd and I'm sure I'm annoying the hell out of everybody who doesn't share my love for four/three posh blokes from Cambridge and London!
