The Gilmour on "Pigs" (3 different ones) Best solo's Ive heard on live versions,
Boston gardens 77
& Olympic stadium montreal 77.

Hi Heathray - the guitarist on "Goodbye to Love" was Tony Peluso
The band that he was in had supported the Carpenters and that's how Richard got to hear of him. Worked with them on most of their albums.
I'm sure that the fuzz-guitar solo shocked a lot of the Carpenters MOR audience.
