we hvae to respect the views of everyone in this world. If we truly lived in a free speech world, then i could print anything in the newspapers such as how i hate blacks, or how i hate chinese, how they are this and how they are that. but at the end of the day this sort of thing would not be printed because we believe it to be wrong.

People have said that christianity has also beeen mocked and no-one has said anything. Well faithful christians would find these things offensive but the majority of other people not practising christians don't mind it. Muslims practice their religion alot more then the christian world. So they will find these things offensive.

You would never find cartoons potraying people from the bible in a bad way in muslim countries. It would be againt islam to do this sort of thing in any religion. There was no real purpose to print these cartoons except to get publicity. They don't do any good for anyone but have caused plenty of harm. The very thing they have done is one of the worst things you can do in islam.

Free speech is good but where it causes offence to people we should think about the consequences before we print

Absolutely,and well said John Doh...it is ok to have prejudices. You dont have to like blacks, whites whatever...Hey, you dont even have to like me (i'm cool with that) but the moment you cross over and offend them or engage in acts of violence etc makes it wrong...The jokes were wrong because they simply werent funny in my books and they were offensive to the people they were about. Especially when we are in a highly sensitive position with these people after the likes of Iraq, terorism and 9/11...Throw some gasoline on the situation why dont you.

A lot of these people have come from miserable backgrounds and hard lives and lost many people, friends and family members to various things that we take for granted here in the western world...Dont give me examples of why they should shrug their shoulders and chill out and share the humour...I think they're all out of laughs, so dont provoke em is what I say...

I think its disgusting to be honest - not the cartoons, but the reaction of the Muslims, how DARE they stand in London and ask for more killing, more beheading, more 9/11;s more 7/7's etc. And what pissed me off more, is that not ONE of them were arrested for terrorism or inciting racial hatred.

Then on the other hand, one chap who starts to shout back at them in London is threatened he will be arrested if he does not move on and the OAP in the Labour was arrested for shouting rubbish in the conference.

Why all the tolerance for them and none for us? Cant people of the UK wake up and see what is happening here, these people wont be happy until they are ruling the world and we are letting them walk over us. They expect us to be tolerant towards their religion, which we are, but are they tolerant towards us? Do pigs fly? We go to their country, we obey their laws. The same should apply here, and if they threaten to kill the people of the Uk, then they should be arrested and deported.

And as for them saying in the past their religion is peaceful, yeah right, ooh look another flying pig. Well I dont know about you, but they may be boycotting Danish goods, I am not boycotting stores run by Muslims.

you have obviously never seen newspapers from iraq,syria,lebanon,iran or the gulf states then.the cartoons they print and the things they write about the jews are unbelievable.i lived in the middle east for 7 years and believe me these mudslimes mean business when they talk about taking over the world.they are dangerous.in this country they are the enemy within.take a stroll down the Krays old stomping ground of east london and tell me how great it is or better still go and live there.the day after 7/7 they were celebrating in the streets and burning union jacks in Tower Hamlets.they dont deserve any respect from us
