If thats British amateur i'm in the wrong business, me & John film real people & not models. We have filmed 100's of guys over the last 10yrs with 95% of them preforming, if you drag guys of the streets its obvious that they will be nervous so we go for seasoned swingers that are used to being in new surroundings & being watched etc.
We film with a medium sized DV camera with a light on it (paper over light so as not to bleach picture) & don't have lights everywhere as it kills the mood, this is right for Pro films but not for amateurs. Also we only use one camera & let things take its own course without directing etc, customers are not silly & making amateur films to look like amateur films takes a bit of doing to get it right. Its bit like an artist trying to draw a kiddies drawing exact, its very hard to do.
The program made the the amateur scene look seedy which is b~~~~~~s as it is well organised & the people are very friendly as anyone who as worked for us or knows us would tell you.
The image of big houses & the abilty to earn lots of money is rubbish as well because most of the amateur producers we know just about scap through the week, its their real love of being naughty as a hobby that pulls them through not the cash as that is a bonus. As i said at the start this is not real amateur as many would tell you.

I am not buying into the legality of the films. I've been nicked for having (normal) porn myself so I have some experience in this. The type of films that you have were exactly the type of stuff the old bill told me they were looking for and they were disappointed when they didn't find any at my place.

As for the angle Ch4 took with the doco then I don't think you really care. You made it clear in a post yesterday about selling more films etc so you just wanted publicity and didn't care whether it was good or bad.

Maybe it's controversy that you court but only you would know that.

I've given my opinion on the state of Brit porn these days many times so those who know me will know that I have absolutely no time for people like James and hope that this doc will put an end to his product.

What he did with Nat was wrong and like Renee I just wanted to give her a big hug when I saw her in the taxi.

I can?t help thinking though that a lot of industry people are responsible for producing his style of porn and for getting him in the industry.

I also can't stop wondering if the last bit of the doc showing Nat not being paid is the reason for most of the comments here and not the style of product that has been made.

There are other producers on these boards who produce similar products. Just because they pay properly is it ok that they do it? They are causing the same damage to the industries reputation in my view but because they don't get involved in documentaries, pay the going rate etc they and the product they make appear to be acceptable.

A lot of people have also asked why models work with him and the answer is simple - for the money.

That doesn't excuse what this guy did in any way as I have already said there is no excuse for it but it?s the reason why models work for him.

If I recall Nat said herself she decided to offer a cheaper service because she had nothing to do one afternoon. She did it for the money. She knew the style of work. She could have not done it if she had a problem with the style but chose not to and even reduced her rate for the money.

I sincerely hope this documentary damages James's product, that all models stop working for him and he leaves the industry.

I also sincerely hope that a lot of other producers and the models who take part in this style of product (even if paid an acceptable rate) look at themselves to and realise they cause as much damage to the industries reputation by making it.

As i said before hideous beyond belief and if models need the money so bad so they have to work for the likes of him then come work for me i need a good cleaner and dish washer but wont pay the going b/g rate but at least you go home smilling!!!!

Our only real reply to one of you comments about Nat not getting paid. Nat did get paid, she was paid ?400 plus ?50 travel in cash, as you saw. What the disagreement was about was that her travel was ?70, she she got ?20 less than expected and ?150 more that she had the previous week.

The reason why I dug my heals in was, that the rate was agreed, as I am sure Vickie Powell would confirm, (yes, this was carefully edited, because the disagreement was NOT on the shoot where Sam B was there it was when Nat & Vickie P came to the shoot), the rate was agreed by telephone at the end of the previous shoot. But more importantly the way Nat acted deliber'ly playing to Ch4. All this over ?20. If Nat had discussed the matter in a proper way, we would have paid the aditional ?20.
