Nah, it's just that during the Thatcher years, you had more to fucking worry about at home, than to care what 'nest eggs' Thatcher was creating for herself!
My brother-in-law does the same job now, as my father did during the Thatcher years. The wages at the company have only raised with inflation, yet my brother-in-laws financial situation is a hell of a lot better than my fathers was 18-20 years ago.
Regardless of whether you like Tony B or not, life is better for most people these days.
