As I said in my posts before the 5th Test it was a totally predictable result unless they made several sweeping changes and that's what it was. Predictable. We may well have lost anyway but never gave ourselves a chance
No fight, no heart, total lack of mental fortitude...... I could go on but I won't.
The people who I feel sorry for are the supporters who spent lots of their hard earned to go out there to watch that drivel.
Ok spleen vented now.

How did Kevin Shine get the bowling coach job in the first place?
He was Somerset coach and not a very good one and got sacked.........sorry demoted to be Somerset's Academy coach and he didn't alight any fires there.
The rumours in Taunton (I live in taunton) - apart from Tresco's wife having an "alleged" affair that set his "stress related illness off"- was that Shine was going to get the boot from there too.
Somerset couldn't believe there luck as it saved us having to pay him off.
For me the rot started with that bonehead decision not to give Troy Cooley a two year deal.
However the players have to take responsibility for themselves as well.

I think the real reason for the Tresco'stress related illness' has been on many Fora- albeit disguised for obvious reasons....

I don't know because this is the only forum that I go on.
However the story in Taunton and in the cricket clubs (and my youngest son plays club cricket in Taunton) is that Tresco's missus has been seeing one of her old flames namely Jason Kerr (who is also Somerset's current Academy coach) whilst he has been away.
Apparently she's better at playing away from home than he is.
But let's be honest it is all rumour and innuendo and there's no way of knowing whether it's the truth or not although I am as guilty as all the other gossips by putting it on here.

I don't see how he can play for England again even if he gets his head sorted as he has pulled out of the last 2 tours and definitely left his teamates high and dry. Twice.
Any team needs players committed to the cause and Tresco clearly isn't.
Sounds harsh but England have to move on. Without him.
I do wish him well with the illness as I have spoken to him several times in the pub (with some of the other players) and he comes across as a likeable person.

Likeable yes, but thick as mince...
Players who should never play again:
Harmison- useless since 2004
Trescothick- can't cope away from home (bless)
Read/Jones- can't bat
Giles- look at his average! the only non-spinning spinner in the world!
Mahmood- weird looking and too many 4 balls
Anderson- poor technique; mentally shot to bits
!sick!
