Can you give me a concrete example then? I can't see how PC has impacted my life (except for whining English people getting on my nerves about it).

I'd fight you. I hate censorship (including PC) and religious extremists. But in my experience, people who moan about PC rather than censorship in general are just sore that they can't call people Pakis anymore.

I see the point you're trying to make TBT.
The others are taking you far too literally, while half of what you're saying is hypothetical.
It's all -like most things- about balance. Too much political correctness is just as bad as too much religion. They both become moralistic bastards, telling others what they can/cannot do/say.
Take it like a good wine. Perfect for your health 'in moderation'.

Someone's gonna have to define PC for me... since you started this thread, what did you mean by it? I've never met a PC person, but I've met loads of people who compain about PC. So what is it and why do you hate it so much?

Nope. Everyone seems to have his own definition of PC. In this thread, we seem to now be talking about religious morality, but that's not PC.
Most tabloid "PC gone mad" stories are along the lines of the one this thread started off on... "schools make homosexuality compulsory", "black people to pay no tax", that kind of thing. These stories are usually either made up or seriously distorted from the facts. They're designed to turn people against gays, blacks or whoever the story is about.
So I'm sceptical about people who whinge about "PC". It's usually just a cover for a hateful agenda.

I agree, sometimes it is a cover frustrated racists/homophobes could use.
Lets all not forget the old adage, 'innocent until proven guilty' though. There are many 'PC' things I agree and disagree with. Some are essential, some ott. It's not fair to deem someone racist/homophobic because they may disagree with -or just question- certain aspects of 'in vogue' etiquette.
I'll use the words 'short', 'fat', husband', 'wife', (enter any word) for as long as I know I'm not using these words to offend. As long as you're polite, you've not much need to worry about the pc mob.

As you and I know, and TBT has yet to realise, the notion of political correctness only exists in the minds of those who cannot think for themselves and who also have a chip on each shoulder... such as people who are too lazy or too stupid to work, but hate seeing niggers, pakis, students, spicks, lezzers etc get "their" jobs.
They obviously aren't willing to blame their own stupidity or laziness for not being where they think they rightfully belong in society, so they blame everyone and everything else.
"Political Correctness" was invented by the right in an attempt to claim the moral high ground, but is actually a morally corrupt means of oppression. It is used to intimidate people into not thinking in a fair and equitable way.
John K Wilson wrote an insightful book on the subject called "The Myth of Political Correctness"... give me your address TBT and I'll buy it for you off Amazon. You may yet learn something useful in your life! Let's hope it's not too late to turn you into a useful members of society.
