FYI my son's been assaulted by the police 3 times. He's 5'6 and half Asian. He gets lippy, but has never been violent. Face it - if you're a thug and want to carry on being a thug when you leave school, you become a career criminal or join the police.

I don't think they were assaulting her, just trying to arrest her.

Even if I took your word for it, I don't know what being half Asian has to do with it. Isn't assault also bad whatever colour the victim is?

I was only a young lad, but remember the miners riots, the football riots and the poll tax riots. Mainly white working class people having the shit kicked out of them. Sometimes to death.

That's true. The police used to deliberately target football fans during the "hooliganism" phase, just because they could. What they did to the miners was a national disgrace (12 dead I think). But those were people targeted for who they were. You must know that the police target non-whites disproportionately - every survey since year dot says so.

Put it this way - I've been threatened once by the police, never assaulted. I'm white. My son's been assaulted 3 times. A black friend of mine had his cousin murdered by the police (no charges of course).

Statistically, black and Asian people are far more likely to get picked on by the police, that's a straight fact.
