That's a nice spin on them calling them "white reggae". I would have said the same thing if I didn't see the quote. Nonetheless I think they made some good music and in THEIR way made their brand of reggae more energetic. I know one thing though, they made me appreciate Jamaican reggae a lot more especially oldschool reggae. Another band that comes to mind is The Specials who I think is still around or actually merged with another band giving them another name.

Hey Hey Hey!!! Be nice! Shoot, I had to look up the chords he was using on "When The World Is Running Down". I figured out the first two chords but I couldn't figure out the last one. It was an Em7 chord. Yep! Had to buy a song book by The Police just to find it. No, I didn't say Andy Summers is a genius but any guitar player who can put some chords together and make them sound good to excellent CAN PLAY!! My opine of course. !teacher!

I agree! One of his effects was a "Chorus" effect pedal.

I just read and article and interview with the police in The Illinois Intertainer (their on the cover too) and they are going on a year long tour with a stop here in Chicago in July! The concerts are SOLD OUT EVERYWHERE!!!! Doubting Thomases have been defeated!!
