Yep we've had this before. I think a years worth of cancer treatment is about the same cost as 20 years pension!

If the government could save money by us dying earlier, it seems a silly law, and a silly waste of money to produce anti-smoking campaigns.

I think the overall cost of treatment outweighs the extra taxes, and the better treatment we produce the more expensive it usually gets, so in 20 years the costs will soar compared to taxes gained.

That's my take on it anyway.
