Me? Why would I?
I admire creative people (just wish I shared some of their creative skills). Why do you think I in particular would damn an unknown?
Or is this just trollish behaviour?

I'm not damning your opinion at all. Don't know if you'd noticed, but I haven't damned any of your reading material yet. And yes, I have read Huxley---and not just Brave New World.

Thank you, Warren. Coming to the rescue of my retarded mind and limited vocabulary.
I'd better off and read some Noddy now. About my level, apparently.

God, I read the Famous Five books as a kid----and yeah, they were all posh, boarding school types, and Julian was an insufferable snob, but they were good reads.
And the Hardy Boys' mysteries.
They were stories to lose yourself in. My father didn't have much time for reading, and maybe it is better to see things for yourself, but it is possible to completely lose yourself in a book.
And f*ck intellectual value. I want a good story!
