It's NOT a bad thing, to be Old Fashioned in certain aspects, especially in general chat with females. I have chatted with females in lots of forums/chat rooms/etc over the last 10 years, but it's only on a rare occasion I've had to get discurtious with any, usually it's been after they have been mouthy/stropy/argumentative first.

Oy, I take offence to that, as a fellow reptile, we are NOT slimy!

Anything else is your choice, just not slimy, LOL.

Oh yeah, I agree. I wasn't stating absolute rights and wrongs, just the way I conduct myself. Even in these modern times, it's generally excepted that we're an incy-wincy bit more considerate, and polite around females than we are guys.

In the way I conduct myself, and from my point of view, Keith was out of order (though that isn't to say he would have been justified talking like that to you, me, or Carac).

To be honest, I feel that the current situation with Keith leaving the forums wouldn't have arisen, had he spoken to you, me or Carac in that manner; I guess we are all socially programmed to jump to a girls defence with a little more gusto than 'same sex' bickering.

Deep down, I feel that this is exactly why he's sent himself to Coventry. The excuse is the forumites attitudes, but I think he's a little embarrassed of himself.
The bizarre thing is, we don't really know what sex each other is
I look wicked in a tight purple catsuit.....................oh yes.
Defending Red partly or totally because of her gender is actually quite condescending to her and other females
True, but my point still stands. If Keith had said the things he did to me, you, or any other male on here, he would still be posting. I got verbally abused on the Promo forums by a 'so called' female only a few days ago; no one spoke against her, or for me. She was for more vicious than Keith, and she didn't get warned by the mods, unlike Keith.

Like it or not, rightly or wrongly, we treat women differently.

Note: I never stuck up for RED, I just condemned Keith. As you say, she took care of his manner and tone beautifully.

This is the point you were making about Shelley Louise. However, she pointed out that she WAS a she! If people feel the need to show their transsexual lifestyle on the internet, should we stand in judgement over them?

I was delighted to read the posts made by Ms. Red and was impressed at her knowledge of the subject she was discussing.
