How did you manage to do this?

The other year I took my genuine 100% leather shoes to the cobblers to get re-heeled and re-soled. When I went back to collect them the cobbler wanted, wait for it, 45 quid!!! I simply said 'cobblers' to him and walked out!

Updated advice.

Never, never, use cellotape when repairing your clothes/shoes.

Reason 1. Cellotape wasn't designed to stick cloth/plastic/leather together.

Reason 2. If you do manage to use it, you'll walk around with shiny stripes on your clothes and thus attract all sorts of unwanted attention especially from birds - no not those sort, I'm referring to those pecking, sqwarking evil-eyed bastards with the feathers!
