Yes, we speak & write a mix of the two, phonetic & queens english.
They write & speak ONLY Phonetic.

English speaking (british) children spell phonetically, & especially welsh children, some english are phonetic.
Colour - Color
Centre - Center
I can't think of many at the moment, but I've chatted with americans in USA based chatrooms for 10 years, & they are forever trying to recorrect me on the correct USA way of spelling words.

But did you know that Welsh was already in existance in America BEFORE that guy who "Discovered America", during the first years of discovery, they came across a few diff tribes of indians, who spoke fluent welsh, but not many of the "discovery" people spoke welsh.
