I'm sorry, those Woodman 'gonzo' scenes are a waste of time: if he wants to fuck the models, fine, let him do it on his own time. I resent paying good money to watch the little runt boffing some starlet in the middle-distance, with extremely-badly-faked 'first time' anal, and screaming from the girl that I've only ever heard before in the Primate House at Regent's Park? Even an ant-eater couldn't get a girl to come with his first lick. Come off it, Woodman.
"The answers......add to the suspense".....WHAT suspense? Most of the models are 'names', and you KNOW they're going to 'do it' !! The Q&A is either in French, half of which I miss, or a grottily-subbed E European language, and usually WAY too long, and even occasionally just peters out without any sex.
Like the "Report" bits of the TX series, etc., these gratuitous bits of self-indulgence and cynical padding should have been abandoned long ago.
I agree up to a point that more spontaneity is a good thing. Unfortunately, Mr Woodman wouldn't know spontaneity if it bit him in the arse. Now, Messrs Kovi/Thring........

Well as far as I'm aware, although a lot of the girls in the casting series are well known, the videoing of the interviews was conducted often some considerable time prior to the casting video release and prior to any Private performance from the girl involved. The series is getting rather long in the tooth and maybe things have changed a little now.
When you say 'what suspense' and then 'some of the scenes peter out without any sex' I say precisely, this is just my point, you can't always tell what will happen.
As for watching PW fuck the girls in front of his tripod mounted camera I agree it's not great stuff but the sex on these films is the weakest point. I'm not holding this series up as the datum by which all future porn should be made, I just appreciate the honesty and find that a lot of other films could learn a little from some of this series.
Even on Privates site - I'm was once a member a year or so ago - they have interviews with the models; many of which, for example, reply to the question 'do you like anal?' with the answer 'no, I only do it on screen, not in my private life' or 'not really, but it's got easier with practice. At least then you feel more inclined to believe those who say they DO genuinely like something.

Well, yes, I appreciate their not lying in interviews. And I do like Woodman behind the camera: some of the Castings scenes where the girl is gently persuaded to strip are very erotic..
It's just that when I pay for a porn film, that's what I expect.
If I want doc's I can watch Ch4/5.
