No charges brought.......yet. I just find it odd that their other children have been exposed to the media circus for 127 days and suddenly they are concerned abot their twins and want to bring them home for "normallty". Very odd. It has ABSOLUTLEY nothing to with the events of the last few days apparently.

The good Portuguese people have been fed up of the media circus as well. The resort they had stayed is now considered a bad and unsafe area after all thats happened.
As soon as they were named, the Portuguese really did get pissed off with the McCanns, in so much as they were treated as saints which is why I think they hopped it back to Blighty where they will still be treated as saints and they'll milk that for all its worth as well.
I hope I'm wrong, but for conspiracy theory buffs like me, theres a LOT that doesn't add up.....and the Portuguese have a modern police force, not some banana republic gun toting outfit, they are switched on despite the media portraying them as Keystone Kops figures

The big question I'd like answered is when did someone who wasn't called McCann last see Madeleine.

The rules in Portugal are very different, and the press there know that they won't get a fresh story each day from the investigators. The British media went steaming into the area and spent the first few days and weeks speculating, then got pissed off at the lack of information and started accusing the police of being incompetent. This, as you can imagine, didn't go down too well.

As for the saintly McCanns, these are the same parents who thought leaving three kids under four on their own was a good idea and didn't want to disturb them by using the babysitting service at the complex.

It can only be guesswork from us. The police will act when they have something concrete to go on.

some interesting points made in the press today, like the hire care was not solely for the use of the McCanns,who were out of the country for periods when the car was in use.also it is reported that the blood evidence is negligible and, as has been said before, can be carried via other methods than directly from the person who's blood it is,i.e: via toys and clothing from anytime. the lack of care taken by authorities at the start of the enquiry means that the evidence found in the apartment is tainted at best,useless at worst. in court these matters would not stand up to scrutiny.
there are so many ifs and buts in this case that making comments on it is difficult until substantial evidence is produced in court.
also don't forget that the McCanns are threatening legal action over comments in the Portugese press, so printing "evidence" supposedly from Police sources to discredit the McCanns, is in the press' interests.
there is something strange about this case, but until all the evidence is produced, there is no point in accusing the McCanns of murder or accidental death.
