What is working class ?, there's no such thing and if there were how does he "fool" them? my example. I grew up in a council house, left school very early to persue a career, I was making more money than my father made, I have had some breaks, but through hard work etc I have done Ok, and I look after those around me.
So very little education, came from a poor background, but I have been succsessful, so am I working class......will the right hon gentleman answer yes or no?

Due to globalisation in the 1970s (e.g. Japanese car production) the concept of the working classes in Britian became out-dated, as the heavy industrial jobs were disappearing rapidly, being replaced with light industrial (more suitable for women) and financial sercices jobs.

Working class people in the mould of the miners and steel workers have all but disappeared, and most people are now different shades of middle class, with a large under class below that (no jobs at all, benefit culture) and a small upper class of inherited wealthy above us.
