As long as you can find all the drivers and you have a genuine XP SP2 install CD and unused licence key you should not have a problem. Just delete the Vista (probably only) partition, create a new partiton, or maybe split the drive to separate the operating system from you data install then let XP format the (first) partition and install.

I did this at work on a basic Dell desktop from Vista Home Basic back to XP Pro.

This month PC Pro magazine did their reliability and service awards. Voted for by its readers.

Laptops: Dell got 5 stars (top is 6 stars)

Desktop: Dell got 5 stars. Not winners, but highly commended was Acer and Dell

Real World Business: Winners were Dell.

Magazine said "Dell takes the award for the second year running, and for good reason: businesses need laptops and servers that are dependable for the right price. Dell continues to deliever"

Does not sound like they are "crap" to me.

I do not work for Dell, nor have any link with them, but hate to hear companies rubbished without reason.

(And please dont say "my brother bought one and it never worked" or something like that. Dell are the biggest seller of PCs in the world and a few dodgy ones will slip through, like in all companies, but overall they are OK)

I have bought three Dell PCs and never had a problem, and the company I work for has decided to go with Dell after Evesham went belly up.

Yes but of course PC Pro Magazine do not rely on Dell's Advertising Revenue to keep their magazine afloat ... or do they!wink!
