Strangest...maybe, but certainly scariest - 35mm print of The Adventures of Robin Hood (Errol Flynn version) by passenger train from Nottingham to London.
The transit case had large red labels NITRATE FILM- HIGHLY INFLAMMABLE plastered all over it.

Uranium.
For a physics project at school, from the Uni where it was stored. Probably enough to nick me under some terrorism legislation these days.

Have been trying to think of other strange things I have carried home.
I don't live too far from my town centre but don't drive so I seem to get this idea that no matter what I buy I can carry it home.
I bought a big set of longhorns from the market a few months ago. That was funny carrying them home. And a big replica Highlander sword and ceremonial Isis dagger. Not all at the same time though !happy!

Did the odd white van man delivery run for a mate of mine and once delivered a live lizard to South Lakes Animal Park. Miserable git was poor company, went to sleep in his box and never said a word all the way to Milnthorpe!

Lizard is poor company now is he??
I am sure he was just a bit under the weather on that particular day - probably dreaming of his new Tefal - the aristocratic cunt.

You should have asked me to help you carry it gorgeous. I'd have carried both you and it and then laid both of you too !!

I'm on a roll now for carrying strange things home.
I'm just heading back into town to bring home a big wooden nordic fertility totem - which is not code for a viking dildo you cheeky buggerz
