Have to agree, Dibs.

While Carac is correct in saying that "pond life" has always existed and that every age has had its problems, there's no denying that the fabric of UK society has been steadily unravelling since around the late '60s / early '70s due to factors many and various - not least the twin evils of the burgeoning "rights" culture (or should we really be talking about a "rights" industry?) and political correctness.

And I believe that (sadly) things will only get worse before they begin to get better.

I don't think you can just shrug your shoulders and put it all down to media hysteria like Carac does. Crime has always been reported, and there have always been sensationalist rags like the Sun and the Mail eager to print all the gory details.

It does indeed, Dibbs.

One other thing. I was at an event two years ago- not as formal and certainly not as private as it sounds- and Thatch walked in. So we are members of the same organisation.

I'm sure alcohol is the biggest catalyst of most violent crimes and this seems to be the juice of youth at the moment for doing wrong things.

There is a reason why it is illegal to sell alcohol to under 18s, so as you can see, not all of it is just down to bored anti social youths but shops feeding it because of their greed.

I saw on the news today trading standards officers sent a 15 year old girl into Somerfields and she bought alcohol unchallenged.

Its bad enough that most adults cant handle alcohol let alone children under 18.
