A mixed bag of results

Arsenal & Liverpool play out a 1-1 draw which really should have been a
2-1 if not 3-1 victory to Arsenal.Someone get that referee a seeing eye dog.

A Barcelona missing a few big names somehow came away with 1-0 away win at Schalke.Their defensive frailties exposed but not taken advantage of

Man U took its few chances to win 2-0 away even though Roma could easily have scored 3/4 goals with a totti in front of goals

Chelsea once again grabbed defeat from the jaws of victory with a 2-1 away defeat.Oh for a striker who can take half chances regularly

Makes for an interesting round of 2nd leg matches

Yes pretty fair summing up Buttsie ...
I cannot believe the amount of adulation that Man Utd are receiving because of the 2-0 result - it was a workmanlike professional performance. nothing more nothing less (had 2 chanes and scored twice). I still fancy Barcelona will have too much panache for all of them when the chips are down.

Its a likely result given how no team is really dominating defensively

I'd say Rooney has to become ultra deadly & marauding(ala 2004)again for Man U to go all the way.

The last time they went the distance they had Yorke & Cole sharing the load regularly and all they have at the minute is Ronaldo
