My biggest selling film wasTruth or Dare starring Paula Meadows a professional actress.

You say"A script? porn stars are not actors, just like actors are not porn stars" because the vast majority of porn is simply recordings of live sex shows and not films per se. The content of most contemporary pornographic films is not determined by the customer but by the porn industry who churn out endless repetitious wall to wall recordings of non actresses performing live sexshows and that is why the market is dying in America. The customers are tired of the mechanical couplings of models and want films with realised characters and storylines made by creative filmmakers.

It is time that British filmmakers started to supply the demand for realistic erotic films and erotic variety shows the public really want.

If this was true, would you care to explain why all of the big companies (Private, Vivid, Wicked, Digital Playground, Dorcel, Pink'o) still persist in doing big-budget features?

I mean, if it's not what the customer wants to see (as you state) why make them?

Oh, by the way, Wicked have just expanded their contract girl roster from 5 to 7...it's this damn slump affecting the industry, you see.

Joking aside, whilst I personally prefer features, I'm not going to argue the toss with you as to which is the better out of gonzo and features...it's ultimately down to personal choice. All I know is that gonzo is a fuck sight easier and cheaper (that's not to say it can be done well cheaply and easily, but it can certainly be done) to produce, ergo the myriad companies that are doing it and just diluting the market share of everyone else in the same gonzo pool.
