my thoughts excatley its like playing a computer game if you know the cheat to every level there is no fealing of satisfaction when you complete i like to play every level to i get to the end. althought arsenal have not won since 2005 we had champions league final 2006 just missed out, carling cup 2007 just missed out out , 3rd in the league 2008 4 pts behind the leaders we will get there but evan if we dont i know that i will enjoy every minuete of it . also people calling the carling cup a mickey mouse cup well that your opion but i love it its a great little competition with a chance to playat the mighty wembley in the final what more as a football fan could you wish for , also for the clubs outside top 4 a route in to europe worth thousands of pounds , i hink arsenals stadium debt was made worse by the devepolement of highbury square with the credit crunch its proving hard to sell the flats i know that around 100 million of that devoplemt was meant to go towards the funding of the new ground. also with regards to man city and whoever else wants to buy our players let them go wenger always has a better back up plan , goodbye anelka hello henry, viera went up stepped fabragas and flamini , flamini gone in comes diaby and denilson and ramsey also helb goes he has done nothing at barcelona and in comes nasri who already looks fantastic and then the other night i see the possible future of england in 16 yr old jack wilshire who we have devolped from the age of 9 none of this would be possible without wenger .

Brutal, you claim to tell it like it is .. ii'l always give you the unashamed brutal truth' ... blah blah, but all you're offering here is pro Arsenal propaganda. If you were either a) brutal or b) truthful in your assessments you would realise it's a different story of clinging on to fourth place following City's January reinforcements.

Cole and Anelka set precedents and were harbingers of the modern game whereby it's in their interest to clock-up transfers. Look at Hleb and Flamini and resign yourself to the fact that Fabregas and Adebayor will not be there in two year's time. As for the notion that they play great football - yes they do, but without silverware it's forgotten. Football's quite merciless in that respect and it counts for little other than as consolation for Arsenal fans looking over their heads at the teams that have achieved.

Arsenal is the best run club in football - ethically i dont agree with them bringing over 15 year olds from africa, brazil etc.

But theyve exploited a hole in the market and put all their efforts into their foreign youth system which is proving a joy to behold. Im sure i remember reading somewhere wenger has actually recouped more in the way of transfers than what he has spent and when you compare it to their scummy rivals spurs and the bucket loads of cash they chuck at a problem every single season its quite refreshing to see the gooners getting the better of them year in year out.

I honestly believe wenger is still at arsenal because he is in a dream situation whereby he can put all minor failings down to lack of investment yet can still claim to have one of the best young sides in world football.

Arsenal FC gives hope to all your west hams, portsmouths and aston villas in that you dont need hundreds of millions to compete at this level and you really can still win things with kids!!

It's also a dream situation because there seems to be a conspiracy in the media to give them an easy ride for their three/four years of non-achievement. Alex Ferguson was never given the breathing space of the 'building a team' excuse, but it's been applied to Arsenal for the last three seasons. When Utd beat Wigan in the Carling Cup and Millwall in the FA Cup it was silverware but it wasn't significant ... if Arsenal had beaten Chelsea in the Carling Cup it would have been blown out of proportion by the press .. as it was it was treated as a kind of noble defeat yet when Chelsea lost to Spurs last season it was a supposed sign of Avram Grant's failings.

Calm down calm down..I only said it was just like watching Brazil! lol..and yeah it is pretty funny that the only people on here getting wound up about the fact that City have Robinho and are now the richest club in the world are supporters of the other premiership fat cats! lol..And are you telling me that Arsenal have not spent a huge amount of money since Wenger arrived to achieve success? My my, people have such short mamories in football don't they...lol..Hughes will be successful at Manchester City..period..let's not forget even old Red Nose took 3 seasons to win a Trophy..the new owners will give Hughes the time and the resources to build a winning team..and at the end of the day if we win anything playing the way we did against Pompey last Sunday I don't think there will be any real fans out there begrudging us for it!

Never a penalty!! But I'm a City fan and have seen this so many times. Anyway, Wigan seem to be our "bogey" side, we can never seem to beat them. Still, there's more to come from this team yet hopefully. I'll have a large helping of humble pie after the Brighton match though!!!

It amuses me to hear that if City did go onto to win something we would have bought success. Every fucking team has bought success!! The real reason for these so called "big Sky 4" lot is its City with the money and not them. If Liverpool, Arsenal or United were to drop out of the top 4 and not qualify for the Champions league they'd panic. They owe too much money out hence the sniping. Theres only Chelsea who haven't even commented and just got on with it. They'll be alright anyway. The other thing is everyone is waiting for City to fail to win anything so they can say money doesn't buy you success. Like its going to happen overnight? They seem to think all City fans are expecting us to wipe the floor with everyone. No we're not, we're just happy our club is financially safe and we've got the makings of a very good team and are looking forward to watch them play each week. We've done this for years. We did this in the 3rd division exactly 10 years ago this season. So fuck the lot of you.
