Israel was born out of terrorism against the British. The Israel's regarded them as "freedom fighters" back in 1948. Read the history of their country!
I think it was Perez, who said their responce to terrorist attacks a few years ago was to "escalate" the situation. In other words if one Israeli was killed they would take out ten arabs and just carry on! They are America's attack dog in the middle east.
Politicaly two things are happening. There are elections in febuary and the right wing coalition in charge of Israel at the moment are trying to regain ground in the polls, Secondly is the Obama phenoman, He has indicated he would sit down with Iran and possibly Hamas when he takes over in January. It is the last thing the Israeli's and the neo conservatives in Bush want to see happening! By creating havoc now they muddy the waters when Obama gets in. Don't rule out a sneak air attack on Iranian targets before Obama takes the reins.

It was their land, now it isn't. Land borders change all the time after wars. It may have been a mistake putting Israel where it is, but it is where it is - and with a 7 Million population it isn't going anywhere soon. The Palestinians can fight as much as they want and maybe they'll defeat Israel some day if the west stop funding Israel, who knows? But in the meantime they're never going to come off the better in any skirmish and they know it. Whether what Israel is doing is right or wrong is not our concern, we don't live there.

A good sermon indeed. Only thing though I said in another post is Barack Obama has A LOT of jews running not quite around in the background and THEIR interest is Israel. Take a look at the speech he gave at APAC. So yeah he will sit down with Iran but what will come out of it remains to be seen seeing like I said before, he has jews on his staff pulling the strings.

Well Johnny I think you ought to be concerned even if it's for the humanity of it all. You don't think it's not effecting our lives East and West, but it is.

Yep! But over here in the U.S. the political battle will be in the background between Barack and Jews in his cabinet i.e. Axlerod, Emanuel, etc.

Probably they thought it was too close to Israel.

What with the credit crunch, the recession, global warming and all the other tripe on the agenda, I've not got time to fit any more worrying in - plus I lost sympathy for Muslims after 911.
